Escape to Singapore - Day 2 and 3

Bilang wala akong magawa today, ituloy tuloy na ang pagblog. Here’s second day, good thing we bought tickets na from Duck and Hippo for the USS day pass, it’s school holiday so we bought it for 75sgd, 3sgd lang ang difference pero hassle free no lines and all, sakay ka na lang sa RWM hop on hop off ng D&H and pasok, go! Se eto na nga un.. First ko din magMRT kaninang morning and didnt experience the famous amoy bawang inside. Haha.

TIP: It’s mom and ara’s bday, so kung bday nyo din go lang sa reception for some freebies, like 15% off sa mga items sa USS store, free popcorn, badges, discount sa mga restau around. Just show them any valid ID.

You cant help but to compare the rides and the Q to PH, I had 8 rides yata for the entire stay or more, hongdomeeeenggg ganap lang.

Later at 5pm we had side trip at the SILOSO beach, iavail na ng bongga ang unlimited hop on hop off sa kung saan saan. Kulang lang talaga sa oras, di kame prepared so walang naganap na pagligo sa beach. 

Meeting my old time friends and dinner at Lucky Plaza, tagpuan daw to ng mga ate sabi nila every Sunday. We’re suppose to eat sa MBS kaya lang bilang dito daw nila ko bet dalin, goww.

Then had a walk at Orchard Road, shop very light. First time ko magbus so iavail na ang picture. Mejo naligaw pa kame very light, we didnt get the EZ link tho fare cost is around 80 cents lang naman.

We went to Bugis too and Skate Park to meet naman DD’s friend, Kat Pambuena, and had a taste of the Singapore beer. Lakas lang makaombre ng paginom sa skate park. Haha. Sayang lowbat na ang camera that time. Ganda pa naman magpikpakan. So, 2am na kame nakauwi.

TIPS: Ang taxi dito ay mejo ginto after dark, 12mn onward 50% ang dagdag, reason being is ayaw nilang nagpupuyat masyado ang mga tao. They also call the manong and manangs as “uncle” or “auntie”. Kung gusto mo mabetan ka ng mga locals, lambingin mo sila by putting “lah” at each sentence. :)

Very convenient and reliable ang MRT and LRT, they arrive at exact time and same as with the bus, kelangan alam mo ang bus number na sasakyan mo at dapat talaga di ka aanga anga. At ang malapit sa kanila e naku po malayo na sa atin nakakaloka ang unlimited lakaran.

So, bilang last day namen at SG, more avail ng shopping places like Mustafa Ctr kung saan muntik na akong mapabili ng DSLR lens. Nakakatakot lang ang mga ANAPS (that’s how they call indians there, kabaliktaran ng PANA)

Then Chinatown for more goodies to choose from, we’re suppose to visit the heritage center pero baka maiwanan kame ng flight namen. Huhu. Kulang talaga sa oras.

On our way to the airport, saw the SG Natl Museum, kulang na naman sa oras so di na naman namen napasok, entrance is 10sgd http://www.nationalmuseum.sg/

And at the airport, di na naman pinalagpas ang Mcdonalds. Hay. Mas gusto ko mcdo sa SG. :(

By the way for our entire stay here more payphone lang ako, didnt have roaming service and didnt get to buy a sim. You can also use payphones to call directly cell so they just function as one parang ganun. DISCIPLINED, yan lang ang bukod tanging masasabi ko sa SG, the captains (taxi drivers) are very nice and friendly. This is the first time na di ako natakot magiwan ng mga gamit sa tabi tabi. Wala atang holdapan na nagaganap dito. Truly this is a FINE city…

Escape to Singapore - Day 1

Late post. This 3 days 3 nights vacation was really planned for my mom’s 55th birthday, youngest sister’s 18th bday and DD’s 25th birthday. O diba, triple celebration, isang bagsakan na lang! Haha. Hassle free naman ang flight and we arrived ahead of time and was picked up by busybee bus shuttle service. I was so impressed bilang first time ko sa Singapore na on time ang lahat ng mga bagay bagay. 

We arrived at The Hive, wherein ang cute ng mga kuya, 12mn and rest lang para more energy sa City tour. I really didnt prepare any itinerary so pinatos namen ang tour package ng http://www.ducktours.com.sg/sp.php for 69USD w/c includes SG flyer and 48hr unlimited access sa hop on hop off bus nila plus mga access vouchers sa museum, heritage centers and all. So they have 5 hop on hop offs just check their site to find out more. You can call or go to Suntec 5 for tickets.

Very turista lang ang peg namen, bet ko malibot ang buong city ng SG and so we went to the famous Merlion Park. Unlimited picture taking as usual.

So more museum more fun for DD bilang History teacher sya.

Bilang bet ni mudra ng mga gantong ganap, go sa Natl Botanic Garden. We ate at Tanglin Mall before heading here.

Ako naman ang pagbigayan nila, next stop is SAM. Singapore Art Museum. Amazing artworks. I love it.

Going to esplanade and dinner sa Makansutra wc is like Banchetto in the Philippines, sobrang dameng Pinoy lang.

Your trip wont be complete if you didnt get to capture MBS at night.

We’re supposed to go to Clark Quay pa after having dinner pero bilang may kasama akong onders, orloks na agad para di maiwanan ng shuttle to USS tomorrow. :)
